We Asked. You Answered. Espresso Teresa is Coming

We Asked. You Answered. Espresso Teresa is Coming

On Tuesday 18th August 12pm (noon AEST), we'll be launching our new
colourway of the Teresa Tote, Espresso.

There are bags begin with me. A problem I am trying to solve, a material I keep returning to, a silhouette that has been sitting in my head for months waiting to be made real. And then there are bags begin with you.

The new Espresso Teresa Tote is the second kind.

How it started

We went to our Facebook community with a poll. Not a vague question, but a real decision to be made, options to choose from, and a commitment that whatever you told us would shape what we made next. When we ask the community to weigh in on a design decision, we mean it.

You chose espresso, so here we are.

Why espresso made sense

When the results came in, I was not
surprised, and (thankfully!) I was
not second guessing.
Espresso was already a colour I loved.
We had done it before with the
Signature Ari, and I had watched
that colour find its way into the lives of
women who described it with a particular
kind of warmth. Not just a bag.A bag in
that colour, specifically. The richness of it.
The way it sits against every other
colour in a wardrobe without competing.

When the community landed on
espresso for the Teresa Tote, I knew
immediately we were going full steam ahead.
Some decisions take deliberation.
This one took about thirty seconds.

The material

Pebbled leather. Again, your call, and again, the right one.

The Teresa Tote in pebbled leather carries differently than suede. It is more structured, more resilient, more capable of moving between contexts without requiring careful handling. The texture catches light in a way that is understated but present. Against the espresso tone, it is exactly what the Teresa deserved.

The hardware we kept consistent with our black iconic Teresa Tote. The same finish, the same weight, the same quality. Familiarity where it matters, and a completely new character in the colour and material.

Seeing it through

Once the decision was made, I was lucky enough to travel to our manufacturer myself, to approve the leather quality and colour and oversee the mid-stages of production. I hand checked and approved the logo foiling. I watched our team construct the handles you will soon be holding.

There is something in standing in the workshop and watching a decision made months ago, on a Facebook poll, start to take shape in someone's hands.
It is one thing to choose a colour on a screen.
It is another to watch it become a bag.

What comes next

The Espresso Teresa Tote goes live this Tuesday, in a limited first run. Given the excitement and interest so far,
I am expecting this colourway to be very popular,
so if it is on your list, I would not wait too long.

The Espresso Teresa Tote exists because you said so.
It is as simple and as significant as that.

If you voted for it: this is yours. You made this happen.

If you missed the poll: get into the community. The next decision might be one you want a say in.
